Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking a Data Engineer to join a secure data solutions team serving government and public sector customers.

You will design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for secure batch and real-time processing, using cloud technologies and open-source tools within an Agile environment. Active SC Clearance is required for eligibility and sponsorship cannot be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in modern data processing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, structures, and their trade-offs across use cases.
• Experience with public cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda, Athena, Glue).
• Proficiency in Python and data-focused scripting.

• Develop, test, and maintain robust data pipelines that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design and optimise data processing for batch and real-time analytics.
