Job summary

The Data Engineer position at Coupang is part of the Search and Discovery Data Science and Analytics team. You will design and operate analytics data pipelines for high-volume ingestion, ensuring accurate logging and reliable data for model experiments, dashboards, and insights.

Ideal candidates have strong expertise in data modeling, ETL, Python, SQL, and experience with distributed storage and processing.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant industry experience as a data engineer in a technology company.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Data modeling, ETL, Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, build, and manage analytics and production data ETL/ELT systems for high-volume data ingestion from diverse sources
• Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product to enable reliable, accurate logging/implementation and usage of Search data
• Ensure data quality, observability, and reliability across the data lifecycle
• Optimize systems for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
• Define and manage SLAs for data systems
• Ensure security and compliance of data per industry standards
