Job summary

Coupang is seeking a senior Data Platform Engineer to drive architecture, resiliency, and automation for our foundational data infrastructure in a fast-growing US operation. You will lead the technical roadmap and mentor engineers to scale our platform with robust data quality and governance.

You will partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to enable reliable data logging, processing, and usage of Search data, while ensuring data security and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering experience in a technology company.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, build, and manage analytics and production data ETL/ELT systems for high-volume data ingestion from diverse sources
• Partner with Data Science, Engineering, and Product to enable reliable, accurate logging/implementation and usage of Search data
• Ensure data quality, observability, and reliability across the data lifecycle
• Optimize systems for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
• Define and manage SLAs for data systems
• Ensure security and compliance of data per industry standards
