Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver scalable data platforms within Corporate Technology. You will guide multi-team efforts, drive secure, resilient pipelines, and champion enterprise-grade AI-assisted engineering practices.

The role emphasizes Spark/Databricks expertise, AWS stewardship, and end-to-end delivery from ingestion to governance, with leadership responsibilities and a focus on code quality and automation.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years hands-on Software Development Life Cycle experience.
• Strong data engineering experience leading multi-team delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect lakehouse with bronze/silver/gold layers and data products.
• Ingest data at scale from AWS sources into Databricks (batch + streaming).
• Build maintainable pipelines with Delta Live Tables or standard Jobs.
• Productionize workloads via Databricks Workflows/Jobs with reliable retries.
• Enforce data governance, least privilege, auditing, and lineage.
