Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for its IAM Identity and Access Management Data team in Plano, TX. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data processing solutions using Databricks, Python, and AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

You will lead the full SDLC, build data pipelines, ensure data quality and security, and mentor engineers while leveraging approved AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with data processing
• Experience in data management and ETL/ELT for large-scale processing
• Strong SQL, Python and PySpark with performance tuning
• Hands-on Databricks/Spark experience and cloud data lake patterns
• Experience building platform services and API design
• Knowledge of IAM, data security, and observability best practices
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end data-driven software solutions
• Design a control plane for enterprise data pipelines
• Develop self-service APIs/SDKs and configuration onboarding
• Build scalable data pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL on AWS
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability with dashboards
• Lead SDLC activities and provide production support
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape data strategy
• Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering practices
• Promote responsible AI use in development workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to improve quality and speed
