Job summary

Capgemini in Smithfield, RI is hiring a Lead Data Engineer to provide technical leadership for enterprise data modernization. You will define migration strategies, guide engineering teams, and transform legacy ETL into scalable data platforms using Python, SQL and Java Spring Batch.

Lead end-to-end modernization and ETL migration programs, evaluate AI accelerators and Copilot-based productivity, and mentor teams while aligning solutions with business goals and architecture standards.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Data Engineering and data modernization.
Deep expertise in Informatica, Python ETL, and SQL.
Strong experience with Java Spring Batch and enterprise batch processing.
Expertise in AWS cloud technologies and modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end modernization and migration of enterprise data workflows.
Define technical architecture and migration strategies for Informatica-to-Python ETL transformations.
Drive design and implementation of scalable data processing using Python, SQL, and Java Spring Batch.
Evaluate AI-powered accelerators and Copilot-based productivity improvements.
Provide technical leadership across data engineering, integration, and modernization workstreams.
Conduct architecture reviews and optimization initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.
Mentor engineering teams and establish development standards.
