Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support enterprise data modernization initiatives in onsite locations. The role requires deep expertise in Python, AWS, and relational databases, with strong experience in mainframe technologies (VSAM, DB2).

You will lead end-to-end data migration, design transformations, and build scalable data pipelines. Responsibilities include modeling data, managing AWS RDS, and ensuring governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires deep expertise in Python and AWS for data modernization.
• Strong experience with relational databases and mainframe technologies (VSAM, DB2).
• Experience leading end-to-end data migration projects from legacy systems to modern environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration efforts including planning, design, execution and validation.
• Analyze legacy VSAM and DB2 data structures and design transformation strategies for AWS/RDBMS.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and automation with Python.
• Design, implement, and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Manage AWS RDS environments for high availability, performance, and security.
