Job summary

Elanco is seeking a technically strong data systems leader to reimagine its pharmacovigilance data backbone. You will architect, implement, and modernize enterprise data platforms on PaaS/SaaS, cloud services, and related tooling, ensuring scalability, compliance, and rapid delivery of safety solutions.

You will mentor squads, collaborate with product management, and uphold CI/CD, TDD, and DevSecOps practices while aligning with enterprise standards and security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of post-baccalaureate experience in engineering/data science roles.
• Experience with PaaS/SaaS platforms (R&D SaaS, Veeva RIM, PV, Aegis, Ennov).
• Audit-ready systems in regulated GxP environments.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and automation services.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions in cloud environments.
• Strong software practices: CI/CD, TDD, DevSecOps tooling.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of data architecture, APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and FAIR data principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of scalable data solutions and safety platforms.
• Guide modernization of legacy systems to modern enterprise standards.
• Partner with architects to shape technical roadmaps and ensure compliance.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote decentralized decision-making.
