Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a results-driven data engineering leader to advance the enterprise data platform, modernize capabilities, and deliver scalable data solutions powering risk, compliance, and corporate systems.

As a hands-on technical leader, you will mentor engineers, partner with product and cross-functional teams, translate business needs into data solutions, and drive data quality, governance, and secure data access across the firm.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data engineering delivering scalable data pipelines.
• 7+ years leading strategic projects in a matrixed org.
• 5+ years in financial services or a regulated industry.
• Strong data architecture, modeling, quality frameworks, and ETL.
• Advanced SQL and Python; cloud tech including GCP services.
• Experience with Informatica and SSIS for data integration.
• Translate business needs into technical data solutions; lead teams.
• Strong data warehouse knowledge: star schema and SCDs.
• Data lifecycle, metadata, and governance best practices.
• Data security controls and access management.
• Excellent written/spoken communication; stakeholder collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.

• Lead design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise data solutions.
• Mentor engineers and foster accountability, collaboration, and improvement.
• Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to prioritize work.
