Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Houston, TX to join Corporate Technology - Data protection and Recovery. You will be a core contributor shaping secure, scalable data platforms and practices across business functions.

You will drive AI-assisted engineering, implement robust CI/CD, and lead cross-team collaboration while delivering trusted technology solutions. Strong Python/SQL skills and experience with Airflow and streaming systems are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and governance of AI outputs.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with Airflow.
• Experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Agile delivery with CI/CD practices.
• Security and data protection awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure production code and review peers' code.
• Lead AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
• Design data models and data platform solutions.
• Build and operate streaming/orchestration pipelines (Airflow, Kafka).
• Create reports and track metrics using JIRA/Confluence and other tools.
