Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to architect and optimize complex data pipelines and interactive dashboards using DBT, Snowflake, Claude.AI, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and Excel.

You will partner with senior stakeholders to transform reporting needs into high-impact insights, drive AI-enabled innovations, and mentor the team in data governance and best practices. Hybrid work model offered in the United States.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or similar role, leading complex reporting and dashboard projects.
• Expert proficiency in DBT, SQL, Alteryx, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience designing and operationalizing AI solutions and ML algorithms to solve business problems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, design, and maintenance of complex data pipelines, frames and dashboards using DBT, SQL, Python, Claude.AI, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to define complex reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Champion and implement advanced AI/ML techniques to innovate reporting solutions.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends informing strategic decisions.
• Establish data integrity, accuracy, and governance across reporting solutions; mentor team members.
• Provide guidance and training on advanced reporting tools and AI technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools; contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Present complex findings and recommendations to executives through reports and visuals.
• Lead data projects from conception to deployment aligned with business objectives.
