Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead data center and mission critical construction across Texas. You’ll own preconstruction through turnover, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and coordinate with owners, design teams and subs on-site.

You will review drawings, drive procurement, lead meetings, and mentor junior staff while delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget, with travel nationwide as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably with a General Contractor.
• Experience delivering data center, mission critical, or high-tech projects; 3+ years preferred.
• Understanding of building systems design, MEP coordination, and sequencing.
• Strong knowledge of costs, estimating, procurement, contracts, and scheduling.
• Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6 and Procore and/or CMiC.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel nationwide and work on-site for project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning, including estimating, subcontractor buyout, site logistics, procurement, and scheduling.
• Review drawings, specifications, and narratives to identify scope gaps and support coordination.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and change orders.
• Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes with Superintendents and trade partners.
• Lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings and track milestones.
• Implement safety and quality expectations in partnership with field leadership.
• Coordinate commissioning readiness, turnover requirements, and project closeout.
• Mentor project staff and support client relationships and future opportunities.
