Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Lead Mission Critical Technician to oversee a team maintaining data center cooling and electrical systems, ensuring uptime and adherence to SOPs and MOPs.

The role requires 5+ years HVAC/mechanical or data center experience, strong leadership, safety focus, and ability to travel to service regions; offers growth through Upchurch University and certification support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal or applicable type).
• Ability to read P&IDs, mechanical schedules, electrical one-lines, electrical panel schedules, OEM documentation, and MOPs/SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and servicing of data center cooling and electrical systems.
• Lead PM/CM and emergency response activities with adherence to MOPs and change-management processes.
• Mentor Level I–III technicians and drive team performance.
• Ensure system redundancy and safety during live operations.
