Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Data Center Electrical Engineer in the US to lead electrical design across a growing portfolio of facilities. You will own the architecture from utility service entrance to rack, develop reference designs, and review submittals with partners and utilities.

You will drive prefabrication and modular strategies to compress schedules, ensure compliance with US codes, and collaborate with hardware, compute, and supply chain teams to meet deployment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in electrical design for critical facilities.
• Experience with data center power distribution and modular construction.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA/IEEE/ANSI standards.
• Experience coordinating with utilities and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data center facilities across the US portfolio.
• Develop and maintain electrical basis of design and reference architectures.
• Perform studies (short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, load flow).
• Plan DC hall layouts, rack power delivery, and coordination with cooling.
