Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Design Manager to join our North America Design team. You will lead the delivery of complex design scopes for data center new builds, customer fit-outs, expansions and upgrades, with high autonomy and coordination of multidisciplinary consultants.

Ideal candidates have 5–9 years in data centers or mission-critical environments, a university degree in Architecture or Engineering, US citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of experience in data centers/mission-critical facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of multidisciplinary data center design (mechanical, electrical, controls, architectural, civil) and related codes/standards.
• University degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; U.S. Citizenship; ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Own complex design scopes from brief through construction and commissioning.
• Direct external design consultants and coordinate with developers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and internal partners.
• Establish package-level design plans, deliverables, and review gates while assessing risks.
