Job summary

Ascent, LLC is seeking a Data Center Technician to support BAS, EPMS, DCIM systems across client sites in Plano, Texas. You will test, commission, diagnose systems, optimize network communications, and assist in design/configuration per contract docs.

This role reports to the Technical Project Manager, Controls & Automation and requires strong teamwork, safety discipline, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data center/controls tech role
• High School Diploma required; Controls tech cert preferred
• Knowledge of BMS and BACNET/LON/MODBUS protocols
• Experience with TCP/IP and RS-485 networks
• Ability to read installation drawings (Visio) and follow safety rules

Responsibilities

• Test, commission, and diagnose BAS/EPMS/DCIM systems
• Analyze and optimize communication issues with BMS/EPMS/DCIM
• Lead TCP/IP network configuration on controls devices
• Produce project documentation and as-builts
• Collaborate with vendors, clients, PMs, and teams
• Ensure safety practices on data center sites
