Job summary

The Commissioning Engineer II at QTS Data Centers is responsible for leading Level 1–5 commissioning of base building, electrical, mechanical, and BMS/EPMS systems in data center environments. You will oversee testing, documentation, and coordination with the project team and third-party commissioning agents.

Role requires travel up to 75% across the U.S. and may include nights/weekends to support construction and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Five+ years of work experience in data center engineering, commissioning or project management.
• Willingness to travel to other Data Center locations as required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• US Citizenship is required by law for federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist site construction activities to ensure design, installation and testing meet standards.
• Develop commissioning plans for Levels 1–5 systems, including electrical, mechanical and building automation.
• Conduct commissioning activities, test and validate systems per standards and client specs.
• Identify issues, track and resolve with project team to drive improvement.
• Create and review commissioning documentation and as-built records.
