Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead Level 1–5 commissioning for data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, and BMS. You will manage documentation, testing, and validation, while coordinating with internal teams and a third-party agent.

The role requires travel to multiple sites across the U.S., with nights/weekends as needed, and offers a robust benefits package and growth opportunities within a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of work experience in data center engineering, commissioning, project management, or equivalent.
• Background in CCTV and access control systems, network, telecom, or fire detection/suppression is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to other data center locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive commissioning plans for Level 1–5 systems and related subsystems.
• Conduct thorough commissioning activities, ensuring installation, testing, and validation meet standards and client specs.
• Identify, track, and resolve issues during commissioning with the project team.
