Job summary

Align is seeking a Lead Data Center Cabling Technician to drive large‑scale cabling installs for AI and hyperscale data centers across the U.S. This hybrid role blends field leadership with hands‑on work, reporting to the Superintendent and coordinating with technicians, contractors, and vendors.

You will oversee standards enforcement, planning, and on‑site execution while maintaining schedules, safety, and quality across multiple projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in structured cabling, low‑voltage, or fiber systems (data center or mission‑critical preferred).
• Experience leading small cabling crews (foreman or lead technician).
• Ability to read cabling drawings, rack elevations, and labeling standards.

Responsibilities

• Support structured cabling installations in data center white space and coordinate daily cabling work.
• Perform on-site QA checks for fiber/copper terminations, labeling, routing, and test results.
• Assist with cabling standards, tracking sheets, patch schedules, port maps, and drawings review.
• Communicate field progress, schedule risks, and material needs to leadership.
• Support documentation, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and QA/QC actions.
