Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design and governance of secure, scalable AWS environments on a major cloud transformation program. You will drive architectural standards, oversee solution designs, and partner with engineering, DevOps and business stakeholders to deliver high-value cloud solutions.

The role requires deep AWS expertise, IaC experience with Terraform/CloudFormation/AWS CDK, and the ability to lead security-focused architectures while optimizing

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AWS cloud architecture and solution design.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC and CloudFront.
• Experience defining architectural standards, governance frameworks and secure cloud design patterns.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.

• Engaging with product owners, business stakeholders and delivery managers to align technical solutions with business objectives.

• Up to £725 per day via Umbrella
• Fully remote working

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Architect to shape enterprise cloud solutions, establish architectural standards and drive technical excellence across a major programme.

THE SENIOR AWS CLOUD ARCHITECT ROLE

As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect, you'll take ownership of designing and governing secure, scalable and highly available cloud solutions. You'll work closely with engineering teams, developers, DevOps specialists and senior stakeholders to ensure architectures meet business requirements, comply with security standards and deliver operational and commercial value.

• Experience defining architectural standards, governance frameworks and secure cloud design patterns.
• Strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Knowledge of security controls, identity and access management, encryption, network segmentation and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with cloud migration, application modernisation, microservices, serverless architectures and API integrations.
• Experience with AWS monitoring, performance optimisation and cost management tools, including CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor and Cost Explorer.
• Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience troubleshooting complex cloud, application and infrastructure issues.
