Experience Required:

10 years overall IT experience (5+ years hands-on in AWS architecture, solution design, and cloud-native applications)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Cloud Architect / Lead to design, build, and scale enterprise‑grade cloud platforms and solutions.

The role requires deep technical expertise in AWS services, infrastructure design, DevOps practices, and solution leadership across complex, distributed systems.

The candidate will be responsible for driving cloud adoption, modernization initiatives, and ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement end‑to‑end cloud architectures leveraging AWS services (compute, storage, networking, and serverless).
  • Lead cloud migration and modernization projects — from assessment to deployment.
  • Define architecture blueprints, landing zones, and reference models for application onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with security, IAM, and governance standards across AWS accounts and workloads.
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency using best practices.
  • Work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to design microservices and event‑driven architectures.
  • Establish and enforce CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards (Terraform / CloudFormation).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Define and monitor SLAs, resiliency strategies, and observability frameworks.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align architecture decisions with strategic goals.
Technical Expertise

Core AWS Services: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, Step Functions, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, KMS, Opensearch, Kafka and Secrets Manager.

Architecture & Design:
  • Microservices and serverless architectures
  • Event‑driven and asynchronous systems
  • High‑availability and disaster recovery (multi‑AZ / multi‑region)
  • Networking (VPC design, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPN, Direct Connect)
DevOps / Automation:
  • IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
  • CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate)
Monitoring & logging:

CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch

Security & Governance:
  • IAM design, policies, and role‑based access control
  • AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Security Hub
  • Compliance (ISO, SOC2, GDPR) awareness
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred)
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Security Specialty (advantageous)
  • Proven experience in leading cloud architecture initiatives in mid/large enterprises
