Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Data and Analytics Engineering Lead to design and deploy enterprise-scale analytics solutions for the Reinsurance Data & Analytics team. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, high‑performing analytics environments and adherence to data governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in the reinsurance domain with data/reporting needs.
• 10+ years in data analytics delivering enhanced capabilities.
• Proven expertise in enterprise Power BI solutions, including data modeling and DAX.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, DBT and Power BI integration.
• Familiarity with governance, security, and compliance in enterprise reporting.
• Excellent problem solving and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise BI architecture, including data models, dashboards, reports, and data gateways.
• Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions with data modeling and visualization best practices.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the Reinsurance domain for data analytics.
• Architect and oversee the integration of Power BI with Azure Data Lake, Databricks and other platforms.
• Define analytic solutions leveraging Databricks, DBT and Power BI.
• Develop governance policies and best practices for reports and dashboards.
• Support deployment of Power BI in enterprise environments with data refresh and security roles.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and queries.
• Optimize Power BI performance through data modeling, query optimization, and report design.
• Produce design docs, deployment plans, and user guides.
• Stay current with Power BI innovations and industry best practices.
