Job summary

Centraprise, Corp. seeks a Lead Data Business Analyst to guide assessment of enterprise data sources and define requirements for a unified data platform. You will shape metadata schemas, data dictionaries, and governance across Bronze–Gold layers, coordinating with stakeholders and IT teams.

You will lead workshops, translate requirements into Agile user stories, and ensure data quality, lineage, and search capabilities align with business needs for a modern data lakehouse.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, data management, or related roles.
• At least 3 years leading data integration, data warehouse, data lake, or enterprise data assessment initiatives.
• Strong understanding of conceptual and logical data modeling, entity relationships, master data, and reference data.
• Hands-on SQL for data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality assessment.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), golden records, entity resolution, survivorship, and match/merge logic.
• Proven experience developing source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata specifications.
• Strong understanding of data quality dimensions, metrics, scorecards, and remediation requirements.
• Knowledge of data lakehouse concepts and medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Experience evaluating structured and unstructured data, including document metadata requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery and assess data sources including databases, legacy apps, SharePoint, file shares, and GIS data.
• Lead stakeholder workshops to gather business requirements and define data search and discovery needs.
• Develop conceptual and logical data models, ERs, master records, and metadata schemas.
• Define MDM rules including golden record creation, entity matching, survivorship, and merge logic.
• Perform SQL-based data profiling and assess data quality issues.
• Create source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, glossaries, and metadata specs.
• Define data transformation and quality requirements across Bronze, Silver, Gold layers.
• Identify governance, ownership, stewardship, privacy, security, and retention requirements.
• Define search requirements covering metadata filters, full-text search, and document relationships.
• Develop current-state assessments, gap analyses, target-state roadmaps, and backlogs.
• Translate business requirements into Agile user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with technical teams to validate solutions against business needs.
