Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Data and Integration Group Lead/Principal to architect and deliver enterprise data warehousing and data integration initiatives, modernizing the data platform for reporting and analytics. You will guide a team responsible for data pipelines, warehouses, and integration services while driving cloud adoption, automation, and best practices—hands-on in delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in data engineering, warehousing, data integration, or enterprise data architecture.
• Minimum of 3 years leading technical teams for enterprise data platforms or related areas.
• Experience migrating legacy platforms to cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong SQL, Python, PySpark, Spark, and relational DBMS skills.
• Experience with data modeling, metadata management, governance, and data quality practices.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and testing.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with business, security, analytics, and IT stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a roadmap for a modern data warehouse and data integrations supporting MITRE Finance.
• Lead migration from legacy data platforms to cloud-based architectures with minimal disruption.
• Oversee design, development, security, and operations of scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and integration services.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, prioritize work, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Establish architectural standards, governance, and best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT, metadata, and lifecycle management.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native data engineering technologies and IaC automation.
• Collaborate with business units, HR, Finance, and Enterprise Technology to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Ensure data platforms meet performance, security, compliance, and availability requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate enterprise software solutions.
