Job summary

Medline is seeking a Head of Data & AI Platforms to lead the engineering organization responsible for building and operating the foundation enabling AI-driven healthcare transformation. This role will evolve the data platform into a unified Data + AI platform, supporting ML, GenAI, and enterprise-scale AI workloads.

The leader will drive platform standards, real-time data processing, large-scale model inference, and production-ready systems, while building a high-performing, globally distributed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 15+ years of engineering leadership across data platforms, distributed systems, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise-grade data or AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Platform Ownership: Own the enterprise Data and AI Platforms, including the roadmap, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Evolve Medline’s data platform into a unified Data + AI platform supporting ML, GenAI, and emerging AI patterns.
• Establish the platform as a shared, reusable foundation that scales across domains and use cases.
• Modernize and extend the platform to support real-time data, large-scale model inference, and next-generation AI workloads.
• Lead Data Engineering, ML/AI Platform (MLOps), and AI Platform engineering as a single, high-performing organization.
• Build and scale a world-class engineering team with deep expertise in distributed systems and production AI.
