Job summary

Trax International seeks a Lead Engineer, SME (TS) for Data Acquisition and Analysis at the Potomac River Test Range. This senior role emphasizes expert instrumentation, MBSE, and T&E leadership to analyze and solve mission-critical challenges.

The position requires extensive experience (15+ years) in engineering with SME in T&E, deep knowledge of instrumentation and safety standards, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or related field; extraordinary experience may substitute for advanced degree.
• At least 15 years of progressively responsible engineering experience, with 8+ years as SME in T&E.
• Deep knowledge in instrumentation, explosives safety, and ammunition T&E.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and supervise requirements from inception to completion for complex programs.
• Provide strategic technical guidance to program staff.
• Support multiple functional areas with SME input and advice.
• Participate in special studies with narrow scope and deliver analyses.
• Develop and review trade and concept analyses for missions and projects.
• Analyze and recommend improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts for critical issues.
• Consult with senior management and customers on complex technical issues.
• Apply engineering practices to solve diverse T&E problems.
• Collaborate with government and contractors to address T&E challenges.
