Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, Medical Technology or related field.
American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Certified Technologist.
5 years of relevant experience required.
8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Functions as the Clinical Cytology Lab Manager within the Surgical Pathology Division, leading daily operations and customer service.
Manages human resources, financial and budget planning, quality improvement and safety/compliance programs.
Ensures adherence to policies in technical, operational and administrative areas.
Performs primary screening of gynecologic and exfoliative non-gynecologic samples and trains cytotechnologists in FNA service and adequacy assessment.
Maintains CAP continuing education materials and department statistics for credentialing; participates in administrative succession planning.
