Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, Medical Technology or related field.
• American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Certified Technologist.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions as the Clinical Cytology Lab Manager within the Surgical Pathology Division, leading daily operations and customer service.
• Manages human resources, financial and budget planning, quality improvement and safety/compliance programs.
• Ensures adherence to policies in technical, operational and administrative areas.
• Performs primary screening of gynecologic and exfoliative non-gynecologic samples and trains cytotechnologists in FNA service and adequacy assessment.
• Maintains CAP continuing education materials and department statistics for credentialing; participates in administrative succession planning.
