Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Cytology Lab Manager within the Surgical Pathology Division. You will lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality cytology services while managing HR, budgets, and compliance with CAP accreditation requirements.

You will train cytotechnologists, oversee lab statistics, and participate in succession planning. A strong background in cytology, biology or medical technology and ASCP certification are essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, Medical Technology or related field.
• ASCP Certified Technologist.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Clinical Cytology Lab and oversee customer service.
• Manage human resources, budgets, and strategic planning for the lab.
• Drive quality improvement, safety programs, and compliance with accreditation standards.
