Job summary

The Bowen Group, a GTSC company, seeks a Lead Cybersecurity Integrator to provide technical leadership to integrate cybersecurity across enterprise architecture, engineering, and operations. Washington, DC metro area with travel to program locations.

Current Top Secret clearance with SCI-eligibility and SAP eligibility are required; 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple locations. Certifications include CISSP/CAP/CASP+ and ICD 705/8570 IAM levels. Comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• 7+ years information systems security experience incl. RMF/ISSM responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, and related risk guidance.
• Hands-on experience with ICD 705 and 8570/8140 IAM Level II/III certs (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CASP+).
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RMF, authorization, and cybersecurity documentation reflecting the system's security posture.
• Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&Ms, and accreditation documentation.
• Collaborate with government cybersecurity leadership to evaluate risk and support authorization decisions.
• Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering across networks, systems, apps, and infrastructure.
• Identify vulnerabilities and translate risks into effective technical controls.
• Design and implement layered defenses including IAM, network and endpoint security, and monitoring.
• Continuously adapt controls based on threats and changes to the operating environment.
• Coordinate SOC operations with NOC to ensure communication security.

Location: Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations.

Security Clearance: Current Top Secret with SCI-eligibility and Special Access Programs (SAP) eligibility.

Travel: 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.

Certifications: One of the following: CISSP, CAP, CASP+.

Salary Range: $165,000-185,000

MISSION

This role translates mission requirements, security objectives, and operational risks into coordinated technical solutions that protect critical services and enable mission success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of information systems security experience, including RMF/ISSM responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, and related risk management guidance.
• Hands-on experience with ICD 705 physical security standards and SCIF accreditation processes 8570/8140 IAM Level II or III certification (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CASP+).
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting intelligence community (ICD 503) accreditation processes.
• Prior experience standing up accreditation packages for new facilities.
• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments (SAP-eligible required).

Primary duties include:

• Develop and maintain required RMF, authorization, and cybersecurity documentation that accurately reflects the system's actual security posture.
• Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&Ms, and supporting accreditation documentation.
• Work directly with government cybersecurity leadership and Authorizing Officials to evaluate risk, recommend controls, and support informed authorization decisions.
• Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering across enterprise networks, systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Identify vulnerabilities, attack surfaces, and mission risks and translate them into effective technical controls.
• Design and implement layered defenses including network segmentation, identity and access management, network and endpoint security, vulnerability management, logging and monitoring, and boundary protection.
• Continuously adapt security controls based on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, intelligence, and changes to the operating environment.
• Proactively integrate SOC operations with the NOC to ensure communication security.

Current Top Secret clearance with SCI-eligibility and SAP-eligibility are required for this position. Only applicants with a current security clearance will be considered. Special Access Program (SAP) Eligibility: Candidates must successfully complete security screening related to foreign contacts, foreign interests, foreign travel, personal conduct, and financial responsibility as part of the SAP access determination process.
