Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of information systems security experience including RMF/ISSM responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37/800-53.
  • Hands-on experience with ICD 705 physical security standards and SCIF accreditation.
  • TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RMF, authorization, and cybersecurity documentation reflecting the system's security posture.
  • Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&M, and accreditation documentation.
  • Collaborate with government cybersecurity leadership to evaluate risk and support authorization decisions.
  • Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering across networks, systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and translate them into effective technical controls.
  • Design layered defenses including segmentation, IAM, network/endpoint security, and monitoring.
  • Coordinate SOC operations with the NOC for secure communications.

Responsibilities

LMI is seeking a skilled Lead Cybersecurity Integrator to provide technical leadership to integrate cybersecurity across enterprise architecture, engineering, and operations. This role translates mission requirements, security objectives, and operational risks into coordinated technical solutions that protect critical services and enable mission success.

Primary duties include:

  • Develop and maintain required RMF, authorization, and cybersecurity documentation that accurately reflects the system's actual security posture.

  • Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&M, and supporting accreditation documentation.

  • Work directly with government cybersecurity leadership and Authorizing Officials to evaluate risk, recommend controls, and support informed authorization decisions.

  • Lead cybersecurity architecture and engineering across enterprise networks, systems, applications, and infrastructure.

  • Identify vulnerabilities, attack surfaces, and mission risks and translate them into effective technical controls.

  • Design and implement layered defenses including network segmentation, identity and access management, network and endpoint security, vulnerability management, logging and monitoring, and boundary protection.

  • Continuously adapt security controls based on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, intelligence, and changes to the operating environment.

  • Proactively integrate SOC operations with the NOC to ensure communication security.

Location: This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations.

Travel: This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of information systems security experience, including RMF/ISSM responsibilities.

  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, and related risk management guidance.

  • Hands-on experience with ICD 705 physical security standards and SCIF accreditation processes 8570/8140 IAM Level II or III certification (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CASP+).

  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting intelligence community (ICD 503) accreditation processes.

  • Prior experience standing up accreditation packages for new facilities.

  • Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments (SAP-eligible required).

Target salary range: $125,000.00 - $190,000.00. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
