Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to lead investigations across the organization. You will coordinate response activities with IT, legal, and business stakeholders and guide analysts through complex security events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity incident response or related field.
• Experience leading investigations of complex incidents.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, NISTIR frameworks, and kill chains.
• Proficiency with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Ability to write clear incident reports and executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations from triage to closure with thorough documentation.
• Act as primary technical lead for escalated security incidents.
• Analyze telemetry to determine scope, attack vectors, and impact.
• Develop incident timelines, identify root causes, and indicators of compromise.
• Preserve and analyze digital evidence per chain-of-custody procedures.
• Coordinate containment and remediation with IT and stakeholders.
• Investigate phishing, data exfiltration, and insider threats within authority.
• Use Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and other platforms to correlate alerts.
• Conduct threat hunting and validate findings with investigations.
• Mentor analysts and participate in after-hours incident response as needed.
