Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to lead investigations, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents across the organization. You will serve as a technical escalation point for complex events, coordinating response with IT, engineering, legal, and business stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have strong endpoint/network forensics, SIEM/EDR expertise, threat hunting, and security automation, with experience mentoring junior analysts and developing playbooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity incident response or related field.
• Proven experience leading investigations of complex incidents including ransomware, phishing, data exfiltration.
• Experience with incident response processes and playbooks.
• Proficiency with SIEM/EDR, network monitoring, and cloud security events.
• Ability to automate repeatable tasks with scripting.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations from triage to closure with thorough documentation.
• Serve as primary technical lead for escalated security incidents and coordinate across teams.
• Analyze telemetry to determine incident scope, attack vectors, and business impact.
• Develop incident timelines, root causes, and indicators of compromise.
• Preserve and analyze digital evidence following chain-of-custody rules.
• Coordinate containment/remediation with IT and stakeholders.
• Mentor analysts and improve detection/response capabilities.
• Lead post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
