Job summary

ECS Limited in Dallas seeks an experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / Specialty Technician to join our team and lead field observations and inspections on diverse construction projects. You may perform destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT/NDE) and work in fabrication facilities or on piping systems.

Qualifications

• Must have ASNT NDT Level II certification(s) and at least 2 additional advanced industry certifications.
• Significant experience in field observations and inspections on construction materials.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations, inspections, and sampling of construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Conduct testing of structural steel and reinforcing steel using various methodologies and equipment in accordance with industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and document results; maintain field equipment and report issues to supervisor.
• Communicate test results to site contractors, technicians, and project managers; attend project meetings as requested.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and mentor junior technicians.

Education

ASNT NDT Level II certification

Advanced industry certifications (NRC, NICET, WACEL, ACI, IFC, AWS, ASNT, ASTM)
