Job summary

Corning Incorporated in the United States seeks a Senior Technology Project Leader to drive technology and product development projects from concept through manufacturing readiness, partnering with Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Product teams.

Lead cross-functional project teams, proactively manage risks, control scope and budget, and communicate status and decisions clearly to stakeholders and external partners as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, technology development, and/or technical project leadership roles.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead execution of assigned technology projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones using effective planning and estimating techniques.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans to maintain delivery commitments.
• Manage project scope and change control in alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.
• Facilitate team collaboration, decision-making, and issue resolution while proactively addressing resource needs and project gaps.
• Build a strong understanding of product and process designs to identify risks, gaps, and alignment with customer and market needs.
• Partner with technical team members to evaluate tradeoffs, support informed decisions, and align project execution with scalable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and escalation needs clearly to stakeholders, tailoring messaging to different audiences and supporting customer, vendor, or external partner engagement as needed.
• Maintain project documentation in accordance with organizational standards, apply established project management methods and tools, and contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned activities.
