Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a flexible Cashier/Stocker who can act as a lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, assist customers, stock and rotate merchandise, and ensure a clean, organized store while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience or related training preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store process and receive shipments.
• Stock merchandise, rotate shelves and build displays.
• Operate cash register and complete transactions; collect payment and give change.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and maintain a clean, organized store.
• Support plan-o-gram implementation and upkeep; assist in curbside or sidewalk display setup.
