Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a Principal Customer Debug Engineer to join our Server Customer Engineering team in Bellevue, WA; Santa Clara, CA; or Austin, TX. You will lead complex silicon and system debugging, drive customer issues to closure, and help deliver high-quality, industry-leading technologies to customers.

The role requires 10+ years in RAS, PCIe/CXL, memory, and MCA/MCE debugging, plus strong programming and scripting skills.

Qualifications

10+ years of total experience in related areas.
RAS validation and debug experience.
PCIe/CXL functional and protocol debugging.
Memory validation and debugging.
MCA/MCE validation and debugging.
Experience with post-silicon validation methodologies.
Programming with Python, C++, Perl, or Ruby.
Experience with high-speed test equipment such as protocol analyzers and scopes.
Knowledge of X86 microarchitecture.
Strong debugging techniques.

Responsibilities

Working on RAS, PCIe, Memory, MCA, CXL and Micro-Controller related failures with customers to drive resolution.
Collaborate with AMD global teams to identify best solutions.
Provide validation and debug recommendations to customers for validation, new features and debug queries.
Utilize debug tools (debug scripts, protocol analyzers, JTAG tools, SCAN) to narrow down root causes.
Debug issues across bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
Engage with software/hardware/design teams to coordinate fixes.
Lead task forces and collaborate across multiple teams.
