CW Resources, Inc. is seeking a Lead Custodian at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. You will lead a custodial team of adults with disabilities, perform cleaning tasks, and mentor team members to build skills and independence.

The role includes guiding daily duties, safety, and equipment operation within a federal program setting. You will oversee day-to-day cleaning, ensure hygiene standards, manage supplies, and coordinate with the team to maintain a welcoming workspace.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands on janitorial experience in commercial, industrial, educational, or government facilities, with strong knowledge of cleaning practices and safety procedures.
• Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, and power washers.
• Comfortable giving instructions and demonstrating cleaning tasks when needed.
• Ability to stay organized, follow daily routines, and keep track of supplies or maintenance needs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid Real ID.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

Responsibilities

• Lead Custodian duties: guide, mentor, and support a custodial team.
• Teach custodial staff proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use.
• Observe team members’ work, provide constructive feedback, and adjust coaching as needed.
• Identify and report maintenance issues to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Secure the building by locking/unlocking doors at shift start/end.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow safety procedures.
