Job summary

The University of Kansas - Hutchinson Campus is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across residential and academic facilities. You will manage shifts, support student housing turnovers, and lead floor-care projects using scrubbers and buffers.

Qualifications

Flexible hours and ability to fill other custodial shifts as needed.
Three years of custodial work involving hands-on cleaning.
One year of custodial work involving floor care (scrubbing, stripping, waxing).

Responsibilities

General custodial services: clean restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas following procedures and safety rules.
Coordinate staff schedules and cover shifts to ensure campus buildings and student housing are adequately staffed.
Clean and prepare student rooms and living areas between occupants, including bathrooms, furniture, and supplies.
Lead specialized floor-care projects using floor scrubbers and buffers and ensure safe, quality results.
Manage custodial inventory and report supply needs and equipment repairs to the Facilities Manager.
