Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specific knowledge of housekeeping and custodial equipment, materials and methods.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position; disqualifying disabilities are not allowed.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to hear conversational voice, with or without hearing aid.
• Good vision, with or without glasses.
• Able to follow written or oral directions.
• Able and willing to respond to emergency and alarm calls after normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversees custodial, grounds-keeping and related tasks.
• Wears clean and appropriate uniform.
• Confers with supervisor on health, safety and operating condition of the building.
• Performs general site inspections; records and reports discrepancies; and generates work requests.
• Directs and guides the work of assigned custodians, including substitutes.
• Orders custodial supplies and controls use and storage of consumable supplies and materials.
