Job summary

Camden County Technical Schools seeks a full-time, 12-month custodian for the Gloucester Township and Pennsauken campuses. The role provides a safe, clean, welcoming learning environment and requires cleaning both interior and exterior areas to high standards.

Starting immediately, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A criminal history check is required; NJ residency or relocation within 365 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver's license.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Physical strength and endurance; able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual work.
• Demonstrated aptitude for assigned responsibilities.
• Available to work days, evenings, and weekend hours.
• Criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.
• Meets health qualifications for district personnel.
• Meets NJ residency requirements or willing to relocate within 365 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs all cleaning tasks for interior and exterior of the physical plant.
• Disposes of trash from classes and programs as assigned.
• Initiates repair requests for cleaning equipment as needed.
• Performs snow removal as assigned.
• Moves and arranges furniture, supplies and equipment for events.
• Clean, dust, mop, vacuum floors; empty waste containers; restock restrooms.
• Strip, buff, and seal floors; clean carpets.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
• Follow safety rules and work hours set by supervisor.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
