Job summary

Louisiana State University (LSU) is seeking a Custodian 3 - Lead at Louise Garig Hall to oversee cleaning operations, support the supervisor in staffing, and ensure safety and cleanliness across residence facilities. The Lead will manage a team of 15+ custodians, assign duties, conduct trainings, and coordinate weekend on-call coverage; this is an essential on-site role with on-call duties.

Minimum one year of custodial or related experience is required; pre-employment checks apply and LSU

Qualifications

• One year of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Responsibilities

• Aide their assigned Supervisor in scheduling work times and assigning cleaning duties.
• Record time, attendance and leave; supply and equipment records; periodically inventories of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Prepare maintenance requests for facilities through MAXIMO; assist with purchase requests and close purchase orders.
• Maintain inventory and safekeeping of keys; document building inspections for security and safety.
• Lead a staff of 15+ custodians, assign areas of responsibility and cleaning duties, and provide weekend on-call supervision.
