Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor the custodians when the head custodian is not on campus.
• Help train custodians.
• Direct and assist in setting up facilities for special events.
• Evaluates subordinate custodians in conjunction with the Campus Administrator.
• Order custodial supplies as needed and maintain a monthly product inventory list.
• Implement and maintain established cleaning schedules including emptying waste and cleaning floors, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep school building and grounds neat and clean.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for trash storage and disposal.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and order additional supplies as needed.
• Make minor building repairs as needed and report major repairs to supervisor.
• Regulate heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for comfort and efficiency.
• Assist in setting up facilities for events and move furniture or equipment as directed by principal.
• Close building each school day and ensure doors are secure.
• Follow safety procedures and operate equipment safely.
