Qualifications

• Completion of the 6th grade. Ability to read and write English well enough to comprehend MSDS on cleansers and to understand work orders.
• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
• Authorized to operate a University-Owned Vehicle for Official University Business; background check requirements apply.
• One year of experience as a Building Attendant I or equivalent.
• Two years or more experience as Building Attendant I in a college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial maintenance and cleaning in buildings, including restrooms twice daily and trash removal.
• Spot-clean common areas such as hallways, lobbies, and break rooms.
• Strip, wax, and polish floors and deep-clean as scheduled.
• Clean storefront windows weekly or as requested and maintain furniture and equipment.
• Assist in inventory control and train new employees as needed.
