Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow directions.
• One year of custodial or related experience.
• Ability to maintain and exercise a high level of confidentiality and professional communication.
• Knowledge and experience using computers, tablets, and related software.
• Experience cleaning commercial environments using commercial equipment in areas such as residence halls, hotels, hospitals, or nursing homes.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques for a variety of surfaces and materials.
• Ability to move heavy objects (50+ lbs) properly and safely, and remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Experience inspecting a variety of areas, including eye wash stations, washers/dryers, vandalism locations, and battery systems (including proper filling techniques).
• Demonstrated experience completing assigned projects from start to finish with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-line custodial duties.
• Receive written and oral instructions concerning general custodial duties/staff.
• Develop work schedules and direct daily work routines of other custodial staff.
• Assist in planning procedures and work methods and advise revisions for efficiency.
• Interview and recommend hiring custodial personnel as requested.
• Communicate with supervisor, leadership team and staff.
• Perform all processes required by the department and use equipment provided.
• Maintain records and inventory of multiple items.
