Koniag Government Services is seeking a Lead Custodian to supervise custodial staff, develop cleaning schedules, and ensure safe, compliant operations across offices and facilities. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on cleaning expertise, and coordination with management.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a CMI Advanced Custodial Certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Koniag Professional Services (KPS), a Koniag Government Services company, is hiring a Lead Custodian. This is a union position.

The Lead Custodian:
Leadership: Supervise, coordinate, and assign tasks to custodial staff. Provide guidance and training to team members. Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.
Cleaning Management: Oversee routine cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, etc.) Manage specialized cleaning projects. Inspect work to ensure quality standards. Develop cleaning schedules and procedures.
Inventory Management: Order and maintain cleaning supplies/equipment.
Communication: Act as point of contact between staff and management. Liaise between custodial staff and other departments.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal facility cleaning protocols and regulations.
Specialized Tasks: Handle complex cleaning tasks. Assist with setup/cleanup for special events.
Maintenance: Report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
Performance: Lead team in cleaning load balance for compliant results.
Additional notes: Reports to CE.
Responsible for various areas, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and exterior grounds. Ensures a safe and healthy environment.
