Job summary

ESFM is seeking a part-time Lead Janitor at the Dexter, MI location. The role oversees custodial staff, conducts training, and ensures cleaning standards using appropriate equipment. It involves classroom and hands-on training, safety and policy instruction, and ongoing supervision of trainees.

Willingness to train is required as no prior experience is necessary. Schedule is Monday–Friday with hours that may vary; comprehensive benefits are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• No experience required; will train.
• Willing to train and supervise custodial staff.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods and equipment beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conducts classroom and hands-on training on customer service, safety, compliance and company policies.
• Conducts one-on-one training as needed.
• Updates and provides training on use of janitorial equipment, PPE and chemical usage/safety.
• Copies training material and revises material as needed; conducts administrative tasks as requested.
• Provides feedback on new associates during orientation period; reviews trainee records to ensure successful compliance.
• Provides recommendations to training coordinator for disciplinary action as appropriate.
• Performs reviews to ensure OSHA and related requirements are met.
• Performs walk-through building inspections as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
