Job summary

University of Rochester Imaging Sciences-CT group seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams per provider orders while maintaining safety and high image quality. Qualifications

• Formal training in radiologic technology is required.
• 4 years of CT experience in a clinical/hospital environment preferred.
• 1 year URMC Imaging Sciences Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT exams following orders and department protocols.
• Serves as preceptor onboarding new technologists and orienting to equipment and procedures.
• Acts as super-user for downtime and new equipment introductions.
• Conducts I-stats, pregnancy tests, IV starts, and prepares/records post-CT instructions.
• Maintains equipment performance and safety practices in ALARA standards.

Education

Formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
