Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Department Supervisor to lead daily CT operations, ensure staffing coverage, and maintain equipment readiness. The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to ALARA principles, and collaboration with radiologists and physicians.

The candidate should have 3–4 years CT experience and 1 year in a charge role, with strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to handle a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• CT Technologist with 3-4 years of clinical CT experience and at least 1 year of charge experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate unit needs.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with CT workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of the CT department and staff scheduling.
• Coordinate with Biomed service to maintain equipment and report downtime.
• Ensure supply inventories are adequate and rooms are clean and stocked.
• Guide CT Technologists in daily assignments and ensure proper patient identification.
• Ensure proper use of IV contrast and power injectors per policy.
• Maintain accreditation standards (DNV/ACR) and safety policies.
