Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the architecture and execution of cryptographic infrastructure for global regulatory compliance. You will shape multi-quarter strategies and mentor engineers to drive secure, resilient protocols in a zero-trust environment.

You will collaborate across Security, Product, and Policy to align initiatives with business goals, ensuring low latency and high availability in critical systems while responsibly leveraging AI to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building highly available, distributed systems.
• Deep domain expertise in cryptography, KMS or HSMs with secure protocol implementation.
• Experience in Golang, Java, C++ or Rust within a Golang-heavy environment.
• Proven track record leading architecture and delivering large-scale projects with regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and execution of cryptographic infrastructure for global regulatory compliance.
• Define multi-quarter technical strategies to clarify ambiguous cryptographic requirements.
• Own ambitious initiatives and implement secure, resilient cryptographic protocols in a zero-trust environment.
• Mentor engineers, drive code reviews, and eliminate single points of failure.
• Coordinate with Security, Product, and Policy to ensure flawless execution.
