Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking a Senior Critical Facilities Technician to lead the CFT and oversee critical data center infrastructure operations. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on training of junior technicians within a large enterprise environment.

You will monitor power and cooling, manage CMMS workflows, and participate in preventive maintenance, emergency response, and operational procedures to ensure 100% uptime at the Denton site.

Qualifications

• High school degree, required.
• Prior military or technical school training, preferred.
• 3+ years experience in Mission Critical Environments, preferred.
• Electrical or mechanical licensure, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure equipment and systems.
• Assist the CFM/ACFM to lead the CFT team to deliver total availability (100% uptime) while minimizing risks.
• Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions within the data halls.
• Provide training and expertise for using the CMMS to manage data center work.
• Assist with preventive maintenance inspections on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Plan, schedule, and execute electrical and mechanical corrective issues to minimize risk.
• Troubleshoot and document issues, elevate as appropriate, ensure complete resolution.
• Respond to emergencies and support a team approach to all activities.
• Develop, review, and execute operating procedures; perform quality control reviews.
• Maintain CMMS data accuracy; enforce Data Center standards and policies.
• Manage workflow tasks with CFM/ACFM; adhere to change control.
• Participate in facility training and daily data center management.
